Out of the hotel at 7am in search of breakfast, we bypassed the diners nearby the hotel in favour of the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building. Best breakfast ever - Green Chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, refried beans, avocado, sour cream, onions and chilli sauce!
It doesn't look pretty, but it tastes amazing!
We sat at the end of the pier overlooking the bay with our breakfast, a cup of wonderful coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
The Farmers Market has everything you can think of, from stinging nettles, the most gigantic strawberries we've ever seen, wild lettuce, stacks of cheeses and exotic mushrooms down to simple bunches of lavender which smell divine. On top of all that, is the people watching...and what people! They're all so bloody happy... and they look so healthy. Most are dressed in jogging gear of some description and the girls in full make-up, not a sweat mark in sight.
More later...
your breakfast sounds wonderful but very different! I like the sound of meandering around the market with all the different smells...love lavender! Hmmm I wonder if all the folk round there are so happy cos they dont live here! Enjoy ur day xxx
