I did find something in one of the shops for Hazel which she will either love or hate ;-) and I bought a hat!

DAY FOUR - 18 April 2011: Hippie Haight-Ashbury
Necessary arrangements had to be made this morning so that we can pick up a car tomorrow to go up the coast to Mendocino so, after a great breakfast at Posh Bagel (Eggwich with avocado) we organised the car, booked the hotel for Tuesday night (Ocean View Lodge http://www.oceanviewlodging.com/) and headed off to Haight to find the flower power, summer of love, hippie movement. It's an amazing area, full of unique shops selling vinyl records, retro clothing and head shops (which apparently sell all sorts of drug related items) and the smell of dope as you walk around the streets is just enough to keep you happy and smiling and not bothered by all the grey haired, drug addled old folk hanging around, and no doubt, thinking they're still living in the 60s.
